Fields discusses her youth in segregated East Texas, the lack of housing for African Americans, her decision to buy a home in Hamilton Park, home improvements, flooding problems, employment, entertainment and social activities, church activities, the desegregation of Hamilton Park School, Pacesetter, zoning problems, Civic League, traffic problems, park development, and the "Buy Out."
